Grey, Toronto Wins Gold at the 27th Annual London International Awards
(London, 5th November 2012) The 27th Annual LIA Judging Session was held at the Wynn/Encore Hotel in Las Vegas, convening over a ten-day period with the addition of seminars and one-on-one Creative Conversations’.
The juries, led by their respective Jury Presidents, viewed and scored every entry within their medium ensuring that all the work was judged equally. They concluded with final discussions to determine Grand LIAs, Statue Winners and Finalists. Grand LIAs are chosen from the Golds, within their respective media. It is not mandatory for a Jury to select a Grand LIA.
Barbara Levy, President of LIA stated, “This year’s Juries worked diligently, sometimes late into the night to be sure all entries were given their due consideration. The results reflect the Juries’ lengthy discussions and sometimes heated debates. With judging running simultaneously with the ‘Creative Conversations’ for over 60 individually selected, Young Creatives from around the world there was much going on and the vibe was phenomenal.”
Grey (Canada), Toronto attained a Gold and a Silver in Digital for Missing Children Society of Canada “World's Most Valuable Social Network”. The Gold was awarded for Use of Social Media and the Silver for Public Service/Social Welfare.

There were a total of five Grand LIAs awarded worldwide this year:
CP+B, Boulder has been awarded Grand LIA in Integrated Campaign for American Express titled “Small Business Gets an Official Day”.
R/GA, New York has been awarded Grand LIA in Non-Traditional for Nike titled “Nike+ FuelBand”.
BETC, Paris has been awarded Grand LIA in TV/Cinema/Online Film for Canal+ titled “The Bear”.
Creative Artists Agency, Los Angeles and Duotone Audio Group, New York were both awarded Grand LIAs in TV/Cinema/Online Film - Music for Chipotle titled “Back to the Start”.
serviceplan, Munich has been awarded the Grand LIA in Radio for Voluntary Humanitarian Organisation titled “Radio Ghosts”.
LIA has awarded Network of the Year, Agency of the Year, Production Company of the Year and Post-Production Company of the Year. These winners were decided based on the outstanding work chosen by the Juries across all media.

In 2012, a total of 15,418 entries were received from 76 countries.
The vast number of submissions reflects the prestige and explosive growth of the London International Awards since its inception in 1986 when only 2,600 submissions were entered.
